in the experiments, an initial pfoa concentration of 21.2 µg/l was decreased to 5.8 µg/l with a polyaluminium chloride (pacl) dose of 10 mg/l. a concentration below 1.0 µg/l was measured in the finished water after the addition of 10 mg/l of pacl and pac doses up to 16 mg/l, to the initial pfoa concentrations in the range of 0.5-3.0 mg/l.
